Below are some of the components used for research in the PEAXS laboratory, which is located in Building 19, Room 313 and 313A within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northern Arizona University.

 

UHV

Figure 1. Our UHV system where we can perform electron irradiation of condensed gases, as well as monitor thermally-driven reactions in mixed ices. A few key components are shown here. Note the data in the background shows the output of our QCM (our substrate) during an electron irradiation experiment of water ice. The infrared spectrometer (not shown) also allows us to characterize the composition of our ice. This system is located in Building 19, 313. Laser setup
